started reading the Millennium Trilogy. finished reading the 1st 2 books, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire. hmm, it's basically a crime thriller series which im quite engrossed in now, haha!
here's an extract from the 1st bk that's pretty interesting:
"Lisbeth, can you define the word friendship for me?"
"It's when you like somebody."
"Sure, but what is it that makes you like somebody?"
She shrugged.
"Friendship-my definition-is build on two things," he said. "Respect and trust. Both elements have to be there. And it has to be mutual. You can have respect for someone, but if you don't have trust, the friendship will crumble."
She was still silent.
"I understand that you don't want to discuss yourself with me, but someday you're going to have to decide whether you trust me or not. I want us to be friends, but I can't do it all by myself."
is it really that simple? just respect and trust? does it mean that the difference between very gd frens and normal frens are just more respect and trust? or are there other factors involved too? hmm.
did u realize? last fri was fri the 13th. a fri the 13th during 七月. haha, and i actually went out at nite. went to watch The Sorcerer's Apprentice! lol, movie's nice. :)
having doubts on my decision abt the dnd this coming fri... it's going to be held at the ritz carlton... Dress Code as per the email: "Whatever makes you happy - Just put a mask on!"... can interpret as jeans are also allowed right? but will any1 actually wear jeans? i got nothing 'appropriate' to wear... got nothing as appropriate as what the rest are going to wear anyway... so mafan in an irritating way... shld i just go in jeans? just wear formal? or just not go? like my prev decision? how? sian... spoil the fri mood... argh!...
