But - did you notice? - those who seemed to deal best with fear or grief, the people most at peace, were the ones reading novels."

Life is so damned disorderly, things just happen, and there doesn't seem any point to so much of what we go through. Sometimes it seems the world's a madhouse. Storytelling condenses life, gives it order. Stories have beginnings, middles, ends. And when a story's over, it meant something, by God, maybe not something complex, maybe what it had to say was simple, even naive, but there was meaning. And that gives us hope, it's a medicine."

lol, not sure how many ppl would actually read the chunk of text above... but to me, these words are super cool man. haha.
hmm, i wasn't so emo during yr1 and i was still reading a lot. hmm, yr2 busier no time, stopped reading... yr2 was also my emo & negative era too. lol, coincidence? haha!
i think the above can also be applied to dramas, animes and shows... they can really bring my mood up or down when i watch or read man... comedy to cheer u up... sad moments where u cry for the characters... their probs... and the obstacles they faced... basically forgetting all ur own probs after goin into the fictional world... haha... my choice of entertainment and my life now.
