facebook... chatted for a short while... had a thread of thinking...

which 1 is more correct or justified? or no right no wrong?
scenario: buying presents...

1) trying to gather a group of ppl and ask around for ppl to join u to get more budget... more ppl more budget. more budget more variety, better things...

2) buy alone. show how highly u regard the person, becoz buying urself is much more personal then sharing with a group... using only ur own money...

birthdays. its the thought that counts right? but... suddenly thought of the 2 issues above... if option 2 is more personal... then does it always mean that some1 who always do option 1 is not close to the person who he/she is buying for?

but seriously. if there is some1 who spend her/his own effort in buying a personalised present for u compared to a grp of ppl who share money to buy only a gift for u... u will be more thankful, appreciative or feel touched for the person then the grp right?... but the person or ppl who bought the present for the grp also got effort too right?... then how about those who just pay and nv help to plan or shop for the present?
